My Email Address

Before you email me, please be aware that I get too many emails to be able to respond to them all.

The problem is this; I enjoy undertaking historical research and publishing it on the Internet and I currently have the following websites:

The combined output of all of these sites is approaching 3,000 pages of content and I'm always planning to increase this. The amount of time I put into each website depends where my interest lies at any given moment, so updates to one site may be often, while another is infrequently updated.

I really, really enjoy receiving your emails and I try to read every single one of them. However, 3,000 web pages means 3,000 different topics that interest people and there's only one of me (two brain cells).

Combine this with the fact that I'm a full-time professional website manager (don't ask my colleagues whether they agree...) and stare at a screen all day, sometimes I don't want to spend all of my spare time continuing to stare at a screen. Sharing history with you online is what I do to relax and an inbox full of email is not always relaxing, as I feel constantly under pressure to respond to your kind comments.

So if you've ever emailed me and not had a response, it wasn't because I was ignoring you, it was simply that I didn't have time to!

So please don't be put off sending me an email - I really do appreciate your taking the time to get in touch - but please remember that you may not get a response!
