Some Things You Should Know if War Should Come

Notes: This was the first of five Public Information Leaflets issued by the Lord Privy Seal's Office from July, 1939 to advise the British public in the countdown to war. Leaflet No.1 covered several topics such as air raid warnings, gas mask issue, blackout, fire precautions, evacuation, identity labels, food and emergency instructions.

15 million copies of this leaflet were produced, with delivery to every household in Britain starting from 6 July 1939.
