Notes: This was the second of five Public Information Leaflets issued by the Lord Privy Seal's Office from July, 1939 to advise the British public in the countdown to war. Leaflet No.2 covered care and use of the gas mask and advice on rudimentary black-out of windows.

15 million copies of this leaflet were produced, with delivery to every household in Britain starting from 13 July 1939.
